Fiction: Metabolife and ephedrine caused thousands of serious health problems and even DEATH.

Fact: The US Congress conducted a thorough investigation with the Government Accounting Office (GAO, Congress’ investigative arm), and the FDA hired the independent, objective and highly-respected RAND Corporation to review Metabolife’s consumer call records. After a thorough investigation by both investigative bodies of all Metabolife’s call records, the conclusion was that one can not even IMPLY that the use of Metabolife caused any injuries.

The FDA Report found that the majority of case reports are insufficiently documented to make an informed
judgment about a relationship between the use of ephedrine or ephedra-containing
dietary supplements and the adverse event in question.
